Beside the university buildings , dorms etc, a technology park has been being built since 1999. The main co-ordination plan was completed in 1998. According to this plan there are some impotant view axes that are to be respected. As regards the view we should take into consieration some important landmarks that are seen from the locality - these are: Wawel Hill - the main landmark and the heart of the city; Salvator, with a romanesque convent, Przegorzały with a wonderful palace, Kościuszko's Mound and a baroque Monestry in Bielany. Beside that there are very attractive Zakrzowek Lakes that are surrounded by breathtaking limestone Jura rocks. One of the buildings has been already built - Biological Science Complex. Unfortunatly it's not very interesting and it doesn't go with this lovely landscape. I think it's much better to respect the natural conditions and the beauty of the place: the soft lines, the jagged rocks. Perpendicular and ortho lines aren't suitable for this locality. I decided to refer to the nature and landscape not to the existing building. However the existing building goes with the new ones… The names of the buildings respect the co-ordination plan, which also shows where the particular buildings should be built. The place for dorms and the gym is also dictated by the plan. What's also important the height of the buildings is restricted (12m).
